LJMS

La Junta Middle School is committed to encouraging a
Joy of learning combined with
Mastery of both academics and social skills for
Success in life

We Believe that the search for excellence starts with attitude.

We Believe that individuals are unique and have varied abilities, needs, and learning styles. The staff at La Junta Middle School is here to help students learn to control self, make decisions and live with consequences, own and solve their own problems, acknowledge feelings/theirs and ours, see problems as opportunities, and work up to their potential.

We Believe that the students at La Junta Middle School are in a period of transition from childhood to adolescence. Our school will be a place for middle schoolers to learn, grow, and meet new academic challenges in a supportive environment.

We Believe that a safe and supportive learning environment is primary for the well being of each individual.

We Believe that the development of positive values and personal ethics is the responsibility of the home.

We Believe that learning is a life-long process and requires individual commitment.

We Believe that every person has worth and is entitled to be treated with dignity and respect.
