La Junta Intermediate School

The mission of LJIS is to create a challenging learning community for all students.  Students, parents, staff, and community members work together to provide a culturally embedded, rigorous, standards based academic program.  Instruction is determined by collection of data representing students' strengths and needs and focuses on the diverse needs of the whole child.  We believe that the high expectations of students, staff, families, and communities will result in improved academic performance.
